Organisational effectiveness and optimisation
Everyone loves an org chart right? The elegance, the focus, and the clear lines of accountability - how could it possibly go wrong?!
Despite many (many!) books, research and academic opinion on the subject of the optimal way to organise a large business, the truth is that there just isn't a perfect way to 'arrange the deckchairs' in a business. There are so many variables at play and the world of business is moving so fast that in fact the smartest thing a large business can do is not to set anything in stone too much as the future looks increasingly unpredictable.
The allure however of a good 're-org' just seems to be too much for lots of leaders to resist. The well-meaning notion that by shifting roles, responsibilities and key focus areas results will improve is of course a marvellous one in theory but so rarely yields genuine progress. Often of course its just a cover for reducing costs and whilst there is nothing inherently wrong with that, the associated unintended fall out can sometimes be extremely damaging both internally and externally and can take a long time to repair.
So we understand the issue - big deal, good for us but so what for you?
Well our consulting partners in this area have all 'master-minded' and led re-organisations when they were in corporate life. Having survived to tell the tale they will provide you with an objective, third party and sometimes-uncomfortable lens though which to consider your organisational challenges, plans and ambitions. They will pose the questions that really need asking and will work collaboratively with your stakeholders in devising and executing plans that will genuinely transform the fortunes of your business.
Whet your appetite? Give us an hour, some tea (and maybe a biscuit) and let's talk some more.
