Demanding, disloyal and often contrary, their expectations of you mount every day as some new competitor (typically a 12-year old online in their garage!) emerges in your market luring them with promises of lower costs/better service/more advanced products.
However in this complex and fast moving battlefield, one asset stands out above all others in its effectiveness against this onslaught - your sales, service or relationship management professionals.
Time and again we all hear of customers either staying with, or moving, supplier because of something to do with the person or people they are interacting with and whilst it will never entirely insulate you from the need to innovate on products or services, excellence in this area buys you one hell of a lot of time and air cover.
Now of course you could buy an off the shelf, branded sales or service development programme, that will undoubtedly have a catchy title or special acronym to accompany it, and that by some extraordinary miracle applies to any business in any sector at any stage of their maturity! Here's the thing - we don't do off the shelf because we don't believe that some useful features are enough and that delegates are sick and tired of hearing the same thing reformulated and regurgitated. You will work with a genuinely experienced and pragmatic ex-corporate sales or service professional who will design and deliver training courses/workshops/meetings (call them what you like) where we won't waste everyone's time with abstract role plays, ice breakers and other 1970's tedium but will instead roll up our sleeves and plan for dramatically improving the outcomes of the real customer situations that your teams are encountering every day.
