Suzanne Rose

Suzanne has over 20 years’ experience in financial services where she became known as a dynamic and versatile executive leader. She was often the person who put her hand up to answer the big and ambiguous strategic questions triggered by large scale market, business or regulatory change, leading to a very interesting and varied career at Aviva plc and Mercer (part of Marsh plc).   

 

Suz is a qualified lawyer. She got into this profession by offering to do someone’s filing which quickly led to an opportunity to train in-house and on the job at Aviva. This first part of Suz’s career culminated in leading a team providing commercial, contract and consumer-focused advice on product development and market participation. 

 

In the second part of her career Suz moved to be more directly commercially focused with senior leadership roles in propositions, strategy and operations in both UK and international markets, and most recently a business leadership role. Suz has significant experience in delivering large cross-business strategic transformation programmes including M&A and integration. This has often involved leading and developing people through cultural and organisational change. 

 

As a partner at Positive Momentum, Suz is keen to help organisations turn strategy from vision to action, taking a broad view of what needs to be done, how and by who. 

 

Outside of PM, Suz is Chair of a national charity focused on advancing social mobility by providing access to sport for primary school children. Suz enjoys reformer pilates, yoga and walking the dog, to offset being a huge foodie (both cooking and eating out). And having grown up with it, Suz is a lifelong formula one fan, and has attended a number of races around the world.
