About Vijay
Vijay Balakrishnan is an awarded C-suite executive with over thirty years of top management leadership, Execution & solid P&L management expertise.
Vijay’s greatest strengths lie in seamlessly migrating to brand-new industries and delivering hyper-growth through passion, rapid learning, and knowledge building.
His executive experience spans a spectrum of diverse industries, such as Consumer Goods, Telecom, Mobile Payments, Fintech, Banking and Financial Services, SaaS, and International Education.
Leading large teams, he has successfully championed multiple top management roles in some of the best organizations, such as the Tata Group, Airtel, Docomo, and Cambridge International, driving Business Strategy, Change and Turnaround, Growth and Strategic Marketing, Transformation (Digital and Others), Organizational Re-Design, and Scaling for Hyper-Growth.
He has additional interests in Business Reengineering, Corporate Governance & Ethics, Organizational Design, ESG, and Consumer Insights. He keenly studies, follows, and comments on Digital Innovation and disruptive AI, believing them to be the future catalysts for transformation and producing scalable, data-driven solutions.
Vijay attended St Xavier’s and the University of Delhi, graduating with distinction and top honors in applied sciences. He is also a Chevening Scholar from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
Outside of work, Vijay is a voracious reader and a perpetual learner with an insatiable curiosity quotient. A die-hard cricket buff and an evangelist, he often finds time to blog and travel the world, either writing or watching the men in blue create history.
